As our operations continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Production Manager to lead and oversee our manufacturing operations in Richmond, British Columbia. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient production, consistent product quality, regulatory compliance, workplace safety, and continuous improvement across our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating the company's manufacturing operations. Key responsibilities include:

- Plan, organize, direct, and oversee daily manufacturing and production activities to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved.
- Develop and implement production schedules, operating procedures, manufacturing priorities, and resource allocation plans based on production requirements.
- Manage the efficient utilization of personnel, equipment, materials, production capacity, and other manufacturing resources.
- Monitor production performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, product consistency, and manufacturing costs.
- Ensure manufacturing activities comply with applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), company quality systems, standard operating procedures (SOPs), health and safety requirements, and relevant regulatory standards.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, R&D, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth and compliant production operations.
- Oversee production processes involving nutraceutical and natural health products, including applicable blending, encapsulation, tableting, filling, packaging, labelling, and related manufacturing activities.
- Establish, monitor, and continuously improve production procedures, workflows, performance indicators, and operational controls.
- Investigate production issues, deviations, equipment problems, bottlenecks, and other operational challenges and implement appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
- Participate in the selection, installation, commissioning, maintenance planning, and optimization of manufacturing machinery and equipment.
- Ensure appropriate production documentation, batch records, operating records, and other manufacturing documentation are accurately completed and maintained.
- Participate in production budgeting, cost control, capacity planning, inventory coordination, and procurement planning.
- Recruit, supervise, train, coach, and evaluate production supervisors and employees and support the development of a skilled and accountable production team.
- Promote a strong culture of quality, safety, efficiency, teamwork, and continuous improvement throughout the production department.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

- A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Food Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or another relevant discipline. A master degree is an asset.
- Several years of progressive experience in manufacturing or production operations, preferably within the nutraceutical, natural health product, pharmaceutical, food, or other regulated manufacturing industry.
- Previous supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, manufacturing processes, quality management, process optimization, and operational efficiency.
- Knowledge of GMP requirements and quality systems applicable to regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience working with production machinery, manufacturing documentation, SOPs, batch records, and quality-controlled processes.
- Strong leadership and people-management capabilities with the ability to train, motivate, and develop production personnel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous-improvement mindset.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple production priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across production, quality, R&D, supply chain, maintenance, and senior management functions.
