My spouse and I, residing at 25129 30 Avenue, Langley, BC V4W 1X8, are looking for a Caregiver for Seniors to assist our mother, who is over 80 years of age.

The position is available on a live-in or live-out basis. Optional accommodation is available at no charge for the caregiver who chooses to live in the employer's residence. The caregiver is not required to live in the employer's home and is free to arrange accommodation outside the residence. We can also assist the caregiver in finding affordable accommodation near the workplace.

The employee's work schedule may vary depending on the employer's work schedule.

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day
Wage: $24.50 per hour
Benefits: 4% vacation pay

Language: English

Education: High school education required. Additional training or education in a related caregiving or healthcare field will be given preference.

Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.

JOB DUTIES:

• Assist with her daily routine, from bed to the washroom, bathing, personal care, dressing and undressing.
• Plan, prepare meal and special diets, and feed or assist in feeding her.
• Assist with her daily exercise instructed by her family doctor.
• Accompany her to her doctor's appointments.
• Can not be left alone for health and safety issues.
• Perform routine housekeeping duties such as laundry, washing dishes and making bed etc.
