Location: SIEMA KITCHEN AND BATH, 1911 Columbia St. Vancouver, BC V5Y 1G1 Language: English Education: High School diploma Job Title: Maintenance Carpenter (NOC: 72310) Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: $34.00/Hour - 30 hrs./week Positions available: 1 Responsibilities and Duties: • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs • Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials • Prepare tenders and quotations • Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites • Supervise other workers • Estimate costs and materials • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments Job Requirements: Required Skills: • Minimum 2-year experience • Ability to work in busy environment. • Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently as well as prioritize tasks • Strong attention to detail • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team
