MLC Healthcare Inc. is a trusted home‑care and support‑services provider with over 12 years of experience serving seniors, families, and community clients across Ottawa. The organization delivers high‑quality Personal Support Worker (PSW) services, home‑support programs, and client‑centered care. As MLC continues to expand, the company seeks a Marketing Director to lead strategic growth, brand development, digital presence, and community engagement.
As the Marketing Director you will perform the following duties:
Strategic Leadership
- Direct the development, implementation, and evaluation of the organization’s marketing strategies.
- Lead the planning and execution of advertising and promotional campaigns.
- Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and overall market presence.
- Analyze market research findings to support strategic business decisions.
- Assist in product and service development from a marketing perspective
Digital & E‑Business Oversight
- Direct the development, maintenance, and optimization of the organization’s website and digital platforms.
- Evaluate the organization’s online presence and recommend improvements.
- Oversee the preparation of digital content, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
- Maintain and manage digital databases related to marketing and communications.
- Initiate market research studies and analyze findings to support decision‑making
Communications & Public Relations Management
- Develop and evaluate communication strategies and public relations programs.
- Direct departments responsible for media relations, public information, and community outreach.
- Review and approve written materials such as reports, briefs, speeches, presentations, and press releases.
- Act as spokesperson for the organization when required.
- Initiate and maintain contact with media outlets and community partners.
Promotions & Publicity
- Oversee the development of promotional materials and marketing collateral.
- Coordinate special publicity events and promotional activities (oversight only).
- Prepare and/or deliver educational, publicity, and informational programs and materials.
Operational & Departmental Management
- Plan and control marketing budgets and expenditures.
- Manage contracts related to marketing, advertising, and communications services.
- Direct and evaluate departments responsible for advertising, marketing, communications, and public relations.
- Establish and oversee distribution networks for products and services.
Leadership & Staff Management
- Hire, train, direct, and motivate marketing and communications staff.
- Supervise team performance and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Provide leadership on key information, research priorities, and strategic initiatives.
Employment Requirements
Advertising and public relations managers
- A university degree or college diploma in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism or in a related field
- And Several years of experience in an advertising, public relations or communications officer position or in a related occupation are required.
Several years of experience (minimum 3 years; ideally 5+) in one or more of the following roles:
- University degree or college diploma in marketing, journalism, communications, business, or related field
- Several years of experience in an advertising, public relations or communications officer position or in a related occupation are required.
- 3–5 years of experience in marketing management or strategic communications
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and analytics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience in healthcare or service‑based industries is an asset

Education
A university degree or college diploma in one of the following fields:
