Job description

We are seeking a reliable, caring, and responsible Child Caregiver to provide care for our child(ren) in a private home. The successful candidate will create a safe and nurturing environment while supporting the children's daily routines and development.

Main Duties

• Supervise and care for child(ren) in the employer's home.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Plan and supervise age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
• Help with homework, if required.
• Accompany children to and from school, appointments, or activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for the children.
• Perform light housekeeping related to the children, including laundry and tidying play areas.
• Follow parents' instructions regarding routines, discipline, and special needs, if applicable.

Requirements

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous childcare experience is an asset.
• First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English or French.
• Dependable, patient, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
• Criminal record check may be required.
