Wall Savers Ltd. is a building envelope restoration company that has been repairing masonry, concrete, caulking, thru‑wall flashing and weatherproofing systems in Canada for over 30 years, delivering long‑term, high‑quality workmanship on large residential and commercial buildings. Wall Savers Ltd. is currently hiring experienced Carpenters to support maintenance, repair and renovation projects at various sites in the Greater Toronto Area.

• ​Job type: Permanent, full‑time

• ​Schedule: 30 to 44 hours per week

• Wage: 36.00 to 40.00 per hour​

Responsibilities and tasks

As a Carpenter with Wall Savers Ltd., you will:

• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials for structural and envelope‑related components.

• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems as required on restoration and renovation projects.

• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware, integrating these elements with masonry, concrete and weatherproofing systems.

• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in  large masonry buildings and other establishments, coordinating with masonry, caulking and concrete repairs.

• Use hand tools and other carpentry equipment safely and efficiently, complying with all health and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Language: English.

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.

• Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant carpentry experience, preferably in construction, renovation or building envelope restoration.

• Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools and typical carpentry tools.
