Altro Industries Inc., operating as Altro Labels, is a well-established company in the commercial printing and packaging industry, specializing in high-quality product label solutions. We are committed to maintaining a safe, efficient, and productive manufacturing environment and are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Factory Maintenance Man/Woman on a full-time basis to join our team.

Position Details

• Wage: $58,000 – $60,000 annually (negotiable)

• Hours: 30 hours per week

• Start Date: As soon as possible

• Work Schedule: Early mornings, evenings, weekends, day, night, and shift work may be required

• Work Location: 3030 190th Street, Surrey, BC V3Z 9V2

   

Work Environment

• Factory / industrial facility setting

• All weather conditions

• Physically demanding environment

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs

• Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and waste materials

• Empty trash containers and maintain cleanliness throughout the facility

• Wash windows, walls, ceilings, bathrooms, and fixtures

• Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems

• Coordinate with contractors and tradespersons for major repairs and maintenance

• Carry out routine maintenance work including painting and drywall repair

• Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as required

• Conduct safety and security inspections

• Supervise and assist other maintenance workers when necessary

• Maintain outdoor areas including snow and ice removal from walkways and parking lots

• Water and maintain plants, lawns, or gardens where applicable

• Perform additional maintenance and cleaning duties as assigned

Qualifications

• No formal education required

• 1 to less than 2 years of related experience preferred

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Physically capable of handling repetitive and demanding tasks

• Reliable, organized, flexible, and proactive

• Comfortable with bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting heavy loads
