Builden Network and Construction Solutions Ltd. is hiring for 2 permanent positions for  full-time User Support Technicians in Williams Lake, BC.

Employment requirements:

College diploma/certificate/degree in Computer Science, NetworkAdministration, or a related field OR relevant on-the-job experiencein IT support or a related field with secondary school

While prior experience in IT support is an asset, on-the-job trainingwill be provided for candidates with a background in a similar orrelated field.

Driver's License and Background check is required.

Salary: $37.70/hour (30-40 hours per week)
Overtime: $56.55/hour for hours worked beyond 40 per week

The person should be able to perform the following job duties andresponsibilities:

• Provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties.
• Provide business systems, network, and Internet support to users.
• Communicate electronically and in person with computer usersexperiencing difficulties to determine       and document problemsexperienced
• Consult user guides, technical manuals and other documents toresearch and implement solutions
• Emulate or reproduce technical problems encountered by users
• Collect, organize, and maintain a problems and solutions log foruse by other technical support analysts.
• Participate in the redesign of applications and other softwareprograms or network designs
• Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software
• Supervise other technical support worker
• Manage Incidents

Experience and Specialization:
Candidates should possess a strong background in computer systems and technology, with experience in iOS environments, device drivers, networking software, internet applications, and server management. Knowledge of security software, communication tools, and mapping and data visualization software is required. Proficiency in MS Office is essential for documentation, reporting, and data management tasks.

Computer and Technology Knowledge:
Applicants must demonstrate hands-on experience with a variety of technical systems, including networking, servers, and security platforms. Familiarity with modern communication software and data visualization tools is expected, along with the ability to adapt to evolving technologies.

Security and Safety:
A criminal record check may be required as part of the hiring process to ensure compliance with organizational safety standards.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure while meeting tight deadlines. Strong attention to detail is essential. Candidates must be capable of performing tasks that involve sitting, standing, and walking, as well as standing for extended periods. Physical activities such as bending, crouching, and kneeling may be required. The ability to distinguish between colours is also necessary.
