Vacancy: labourer - wood processing

Position available: 4

Salary: $36.60 hourly

Hours: 30 to 40 per week

Language: English

Experience: an asset

Education: no education required

Start Date: as soon as possible

The employer will provide free accommodation for one month and $500 bonus after completion of 3-month probation.

Duties:

• Feed logs onto the conveyor and into the hopper of the grinding machine and align logs manually.

• Load and unload lumber and timber from trucks, forklifts, and conveyors.

• Sort, pile and transport lumber, veneer sheets, and similar wood products during various stages of wood processing.

• Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing.

• Feed conveyors, saws, and other equipment to process lumber, shingles, and other wood products.

• Clean wood processing machines and equipment and work areas using shovels, hoses and other tools.

• Assist other wood processing workers to maintain and repair various machines and equipment.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment.
