Position Overview

We are looking for skilled and reliable Plasterers to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. In this role, you will work on residential and commercial projects, performing surface preparation, plaster application, finishing, and decorative work. The ideal candidate has strong technical ability, attention to detail, and the capability to work independently or as part of a team. Position Description                                                                          

Position: Plasterer

Type of employment: Full time; Permanent

No of positions: 2

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible

Work Location: Various Locations in Lower Mainland, Greater Vancouver, and Fraser Valley and/or as per company’s contracts

Referral Bonus: $1000.00 CAD (for current employees).

Relocation Assistance: $1500.00 CAD (for qualified candidates coming from different cities, provinces, or regions)

 

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $36.60/hr

If any of the current employee of Main Stucco Ltd. makes a referral that result into a hire, the company will pay $1000.00 CAD to that employee.

Financial assistance for relocation from other cities, provinces or regions will be provided up to $1500.00 CAD for qualified candidates.

 

Role and Responsibilities 

  • Prepare walls and ceilings for plastering by cleaning, taping, and repairing holes or cracks.
  • Analyze blueprints to determine the layout and plan of plastering work.
  • Mix plaster ingredients to achieve the desired consistency suitable for the application.
  • Apply, level, and smooth plaster coats using tools such as trowels, floats, and brushes.
  • Pre-inspect surfaces prior to plaster application for contamination or imperfections.
  • Apply acoustic materials or texture finishes to walls and ceilings.
  • Craft and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim to enhance aesthetic appeal.
  • Spray finishes over walls and ceilings to provide a final touch.
  • Adhere to all health and safety standards, ensuring a secure and hazard-free workspace.
  • Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs as required.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Communicate with customers to keep them apprised of progress and potential issues.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance duties on existing plasterwork.

 

Job requirements 

  • Completion of High school
  • Completion of 3-4 years of apprenticeship program in plastering or minimum 3 years of experience in plastering
  • Ability and willingness to work independently with limited supervision
  • Positive and cooperative attitude.
  • Effective communication skills.
