Position Description

Position: Welder                                                                                                                                             

Type of employment: Full-Time; Permanent

No of positions: 2

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible

Work Location: Various locations in Abbotsford, Lower Mainland, Greater Vancouver, and Fraser Valley (BC).

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $36.60 per hour

Overtime and Vacation Pay              

Stable & full-time employment

Referral Bonus: $1000.00 CAD (for current employees).

Relocation Assistance: $1500.00 CAD (for qualified candidates coming from different cities, provinces, or regions).

Job Responsibilities

• Read and interpret welding blueprints, welding process specifications and drawing specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using various welding processes.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
• Operate brazing and soldering equipment.
• Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines.
• Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.

Job Requirements

• Completion of secondary school
• Completion of apprenticeship program or minimum 3 years of relevant experience in trade
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the welding industry
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Ability to work positively in a team environment
