Required Floor Sander & Finisher

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES ARE LISTED BELOW:

• Refine and perfect wooden surfaces, ensuring flawlessness.
• Utilize a variety of tools including sanders to meticulously smooth and prepare floors.
• Collaborate closely with carpenters to ascertain project requirements and objectives.
• Refine wood surfaces manually using sandpaper to achieve desired smoothness.
• Navigate tight spaces using specialized equipment like edgers for thorough surface treatment.
• Repair or replace sections of existing flooring as needed prior to sanding.
• Maintain cleanliness by sweeping and vacuuming floors post-sanding.
• Complete finishing touches with buffers or light sanders to achieve desired aesthetics.
• Utilize filler compounds to address any imperfections in surfaces.
• Skillfully apply layers of varnish and other protective coatings to enhance and protect surfaces.
• Accurately measure spaces to inform project planning and execution.
• Safeguard furniture by covering it with drop cloths to prevent damage.
• Thoroughly inspect and remove any residual glue from floors post-treatment.

Key Requirements:

-       Completion of high school

-       1 to less than 7 months of experience

Language: English

Salary: CAD$ 36.50/hour. Full-time permanent position
