Position name:            Rope Access Technician

 

Location of work:        Mandalay Building, 9371 & 9373 Hemlock Drive

                                    Richmond, BC V6Y 0A9

                                    And throughout the Lower Mainland

 

Nature of position:     Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week)

 

Wage:                          $36.75 per hour

 

Vacation:                     4% in lieu of paid vacation

JOB DUTIES. The following duties will be performed in this position:

 

  • Rope access and renovations in high rise and commercial maintenance settings.
  • Pressure washing, window washing, painting, caulking application, concrete repairs, membrane waterproofing application, and other renovation and maintenance duties performed at heights.
  • Installation of structures for rope access work.
  • Gear/anchor inspection and installation.
  • Ordering, pickup, and delivery of materials and tools.
  • Strict adherence to IRATA safety procedures.

 

REQUIREMENTS. The successful applicant will possess, at a minimum, the following skills and experience:

 

  • IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) certification: level 1 or higher.
  • Minimum one year of experience (full-time or equivalent) in rope access, with experience in both construction and the operation of hand tools.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures as per the IRATA training manual.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints.
  • Reliable and adaptable, with good judgment.
  • Excellent oral communication.
