This role requires strong leadership, exceptional customer service, and a passion for managing high-performing teams in multicultural and international retail environments. As the Retail Manager, you will play a key role in driving store success, shaping customer experiences, and contributing to Unique Bunny’s continued expansion across global markets.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and customer-centric Retail Manager to lead daily operations at our retail location. You’ll oversee a dynamic team, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and ensure store goals are met through strong leadership, operational efficiency, and team development.

Wage: C$ 41.00 per hour

Working Hours: 30 hours working / week

In Manitoba, vacation pay is based on an employee's length of employment and is calculated as a percentage of their annual wages:

• Less than 1 year

Employees are not entitled to vacation time unless their contract states otherwise.

• 1 to 4 years

Employees are entitled to 2 weeks of vacation time and 4% of their yearly wages in vacation pay.

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent  

Statutory Holidays: All recognized Manitoba statutory holidays will be observed.

Job Duties:

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations

• Oversee daily store activities.
• Monitor sales performance and operational KPIs to drive improvements in productivity and service quality.
• Conduct regular inventory checks, coordinate stock replenishment, and implement loss prevention strategies.
• Ensure store presentation aligns with brand standards and maintain compliance with health and safety policies.

Team Leadership & Development

• Recruit, train, and develop team members in service standards, operational procedures, and merchandising best practices.
• Provide coaching and feedback to build a motivated and customer-focused team.
• Create and manage staff schedules ensuring optimal coverage during peak hours.

Customer Experience & Business Strategy

• Respond to customer feedback and implement enhancements to improve satisfaction.
• Work closely with business partners on seasonal promotions, product selection, and localized sales strategies
• Provide cultural market insights to contribute to localization strategies and international brand alignment.

Reporting & Collaboration

• Analyze sales trends, prepare performance reports, and recommend actionable strategies.
• Collaborate with head office teams on marketing initiatives, operational readiness, and promotional planning.
• Ensure transaction accuracy and oversee proper use of point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in retail management; experience with international or multicultural brands is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams, enhance customer experience, and oversee retail operations.
• Familiarity with POS systems, retail analytics, and inventory management tools is a plus.
• Postsecondary education in a business-related field is preferred but not required; relevant work experience will be considered.
• Awareness of Asian consumer trends or visual merchandising practices is a plus.
