Job Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to the restaurant team to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service and products.
  • Oversee the overall operations of the Subway restaurant during night shift hours to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Assist in hiring, onboarding, and developing team members by providing training, guidance, and ongoing support to help them succeed in their roles.
  • Monitor staff performance and maintain a productive, positive work environment by offering coaching and addressing performance concerns when necessary.
  • Organize staff schedules to ensure proper coverage that aligns with customer traffic patterns while managing labor costs effectively.
  • Ensure smooth operations during night hours, addressing any unique challenges related to overnight service, staffing, and security protocols.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of food to ensure it meets Subway’s quality standards and adheres to food safety requirements.
  • Maintain control of stock and supplies by tracking usage, minimizing waste, and ensuring necessary items are ordered in a timely manner.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally to maintain guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure the restaurant remains clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety standards at all times.
  • Maintain oversight of cash handling procedures, verifying accuracy in sales records, financial transactions, and shift reconciliations.
  • Monitor operational challenges, equipment maintenance needs, and supply shortages, and address them promptly to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
  • Assist in implementing company promotions, product launches, and local initiatives to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Maintain operational continuity during the night shift, ensuring a seamless handover to the next shift and accurate reporting of any incidents or operational updates.
  • Contribute ideas and feedback to improve service, staff performance, and overall restaurant efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Completion of relevant education or 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within the quick service or restaurant sector.
  • Proven ability to lead, communicate effectively, and foster a strong team dynamic.
  • Skilled in overseeing staff scheduling, performance management, and employee training.
  • Familiarity with managing inventory and controlling costs.
  • Understanding of food safety, health, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure in a busy environment and resolve issues quickly.
