Inventory Control Supervisor

Salary: $33.00 to $36.00 hourly (to be negotiated)

Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full time

Job Requirements

Languages:

• English

Education:

• College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Experience:

• 2 years to less than 3 years in inventory control or warehouse supervision, preferably in a food manufacturing or food distribution environment

Work Setting

• Food manufacturing and wholesale distribution facility
• On-site location (Scarborough, ON)

Employment Conditions

• Day, Morning shifts
• Full-time, On-site
• Work must be completed at the physical location. Remote work is not available for this position.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of inventory and warehouse staff
• Establish work schedules and procedures
• Coordinate activities with other departments (production, logistics, etc.)
• Train workers in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies
• Requisition materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
• Monitor inventory levels, expiry dates, and batch tracking systems
• Maintain accurate records for product movements and inventory audits
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and internal quality control standards
• Resolve work-related issues and recommend process improvements
• Operate inventory software and prepare required reports
• Provide hands-on support during peak periods while maintaining a supervisory role
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance of storage systems and warehouse equipment

• Inventory management systems
• MS Excel
• Electronic scheduling tools

• Industry Knowledge:
• Food safety regulations
• Cold storage or temperature-sensitive inventory handling
• Expiry and batch tracking procedures
• Procedures for product recalls and inventory audits
