We are currently searching for an experienced finance and credit administrator.
Location of work: Remotely, on-site, and travel
Responsibilities include:
- Field Examinations (Remote and On-Site):
- Perform detailed examinations of borrower companies, both remotely and through travel to client sites across Canada and potentially the U.S.
- Collect and review documentation including financial statements, general ledgers, accounts receivable aging reports, inventory records, and operational data.
- Validate collateral such as accounts receivable, inventory, and fixed assets, ensuring they meet the lending institution’s requirements and loan covenants.
- Review and examine financial services and institutions to ensure compliance with governing legislation and regulation
2.Financial Analysis and Credit Risk Assessment:
- Analyze financial statements to assess the borrower’s liquidity, solvency, and overall financial health.
- Identify risks such as declining sales, concentration issues, fraud indicators, or poor internal controls.
- Make professional judgments about the reliability of reported financials and the adequacy of collateral.
3. Report Preparation and Recommendations:
- Prepare comprehensive examination reports that summarize findings, highlight risks, and provide actionable recommendations for lenders.
- Ensure that reports are accurate, well-documented, and comply with client-specific guidelines and industry standards.
4. Client and Team Collaboration:
- Communicate regularly with CFC internal team members to coordinate work and share insights.
- Interact directly with clients (lenders and borrowers) to gather information, clarify data discrepancies, and present preliminary findings.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality throughout all client engagements.
5. Regulatory Compliance and Industry Knowledge:
- Monitor client investments.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, changes in accounting standards, and regulatory developments related to commercial lending and collateral auditing.
- Apply this knowledge to enhance examination quality and maintain alignment with best practices.
- Review and examine banks, trust companies, credit unions, caisses populaires, credit companies, real estate companies, insurance companies, pension funds, securities brokers and other financial services and institutions to ensure compliance with governing legislation and regulations.
6. Travel and Field Presence:
- Travel regularly across assigned regions (primarily within Canada, with potential cross-border travel) to perform on-site examinations, particularly where collateral verification and operational walkthroughs are required.

Requirements
- 3 years to less than 5 years
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, commerce, economics or a related field
- Any training programs and courses offered by financial institutions and organizations such as the Canadian Securities Institute, Institute of Canadian Bankers, CFA Institute, Investment Funds Institute, and Trust Companies Institute of Canada are considered an asset.
