Job Title: Purchasing Agent

Salary: $ 36.00 hourly

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time,30 to 40 hours/week

Employment Conditions: Day, Evening, Morning

Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: 

• College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year

Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Specific Skills:

• Source and purchase a variety of vehicles, automotive equipment, and related services for both rental and sales operations.
• Assess business needs and operational requirements to define specifications for vehicles, parts, and other supplies.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and service agreements with suppliers to secure cost-effective deals.
• Maintain ongoing communication with vendors to discuss product options, service quality, and future orders.
• Evaluate and compare supplier quotations to ensure the best combination of price, quality, and delivery.
• Draft and finalize contract terms and conditions that align with company policies and objectives.
• Set and coordinate delivery schedules to ensure timely arrival of vehicles, equipment, and materials.
• Track deliveries and follow up with suppliers to maintain accurate timelines and minimize delays.
• Liaise with clients and suppliers to address and resolve any issues related to procurement, deliveries, or quality discrepancies.
