Salary & Benefits

  • Hourly Wage: $21.00 per hour
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Overtime: 1.5x regular rate as per BC provincial regulations
  • Vacation: 4% vacation pay paid bi-weekly

Job Summary

Charlie Hamilton's Pub is looking for a motivated and experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, maintaining high standards of food quality and cleanliness, and ensuring a safe and efficient kitchen environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff and food preparation workers
  • Ensure smooth kitchen operations, from food prep to final plating
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen according to health and safety regulations
  • Train, schedule, and monitor kitchen staff performance and adherence to standards
  • Manage inventory and order food, kitchen supplies, and equipment as needed
  • Monitor food costs and labor efficiency, minimizing waste and optimizing productivity
  • Address customer concerns or complaints regarding food service quality
  • Assist in food preparation and line duties during peak hours
  • Participate in menu planning and costing in collaboration with management
  • Maintain daily logs and records of food, supplies, and staff performance
  • Enforce safety protocols and company policies at all times

 

Requirements

  • Education: Completion of secondary school is required
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-7 months of experience in a similar supervisory or kitchen manager role
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, time management, and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
