We are looking for a compassionate and dependable caregiver to provide full-time, personalized support to our 90-year-old father in a respectful and nurturing home environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a sincere commitment to elderly care, possess a warm and empathetic nature, and be capable of delivering both physical assistance and emotional companionship with professionalism and dignity.
Position Description and Salary
Position: Caregiver
Salary: $23.00 per hour
Working hours per week: 30-40
Type of employment: Full-Time, Permanent

Job Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and compassionate bedside care, ensuring comfort, dignity, and respect.
- Assist with administering prescribed medications, maintaining accurate schedules, and monitoring any side effects or concerns.
- Support with daily personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing in a safe and respectful manner.
- Encourage light physical activity, such as short walks or gentle stretches, tailored to individual ability and approved by family or healthcare providers.
- Prepare and serve nutritious, easy-to-digest meals that meet dietary needs and preferences and provide feeding assistance if required.
- Create a positive, relaxed environment during mealtimes to promote enjoyment and appetite.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to keep the living space clean, tidy, and free from hazards.
- Manage laundry and linens to ensure clean and comfortable clothing and bedding are always available.
- Provide mobility assistance indoors and outdoors, offering steady and supportive help while walking or using assistive devices.
- Coordinate, schedule, and accompany medical or personal appointments, assisting with transportation and in-person support.
- Observe and report any changes in health, behavior, or mood to family members or healthcare professionals.
- Keep clear, daily records of care provided, medication administration, appointments, and any relevant health updates.
Job Requirements
- High School.
- Relevant education or 1-2 years of experience.
- Empathy and dedication to elder care.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to speak in Cantonese or Toy San language is an asset, but not mandatory
- Ability to work responsibly and as part of a family team.
- Sound judgment and good observation skills.
