Key Responsibilities
Ensure all Workplace Safety, Environmental and National Safety Code Policies and
Regulations are being adhered to.
Read diagrams/schematics and manufacturers repair manuals for work procedures.
Maintain and service a fleet of asphalt, aggregate and construction equipment.
Able to perform services on electrical, hydraulic, power train, suspension, brake and air
systems on aggregate, asphalt & amp; construction equipment.
Operate a hoist and lift device to position machinery parts in a safe manner.
Inspect and examine vehicles and equipment.
Lubricate, service, diagnose, repair, assemble, and maintain vehicles and equipment.
Timely and accurate diagnosis and repair including computer connection/diagnosis with
machine to identify fault codes.
Provides guidance and instruction to less experienced or apprentice maintenance
personnel.
Performing hands-on maintenance and repairs of all equipment.
Diagnosing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic troubles.
Making repairs per the manufacturer’s specifications.
Utilize computer electronic systems to interpret failure modes.
Suggest positive changes to policy and procedures as required.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Maintain excellent customer relations.
Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns.
Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.

Required Knowledge and Experience
421A Heavy Equipment License an asset
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in equipment and vehicle maintenance and repairs
Excellent mechanical knowledge
Heavy lifting required
Effective interpersonal skills (spoken and written communication)
High school graduate asset

Wages: 30/hour for probation period
