Position Description

Position: Retail Store Supervisor

Type of employment: Full-Time; Permanent

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $24.50 per hour

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with team members to assign responsibilities for stocking, cleaning, labeling, and decorating the store.
  • Supervise and coordinate all sales transactions between staff and cashiers to ensure a smooth customer experience.
  • Attend to customer queries and complaints in person or over the phone, addressing issues like employee behavior, product availability, and returns.
  • Facilitate resolution of escalated customer service issues.
  • Operate the cash register, handling payments through cash, debit cards, and credit cards.
  • Assist with authorizing special payment methods like cheques and managing merchandise returns.
  • Prepare inventory orders based on current stock levels to keep the store well-supplied.
  • Prepare daily reports to track sales volumes and merchandising effectiveness.
  • Assist in the hiring process for new staff members and oversee their sales skills training.
  • Hold regular team meetings to discuss performance metrics, customer feedback, and workflow improvements.
  • Maintain optimal store conditions by upholding visual merchandising standards and managing in-store promotions.
  • Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and fraud risks.
  • Perform any other duties required for the store's successful operation.

 

Job Requirements

  • Completion of Secondary School.
  • Demonstrated experience in similar field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and customer management abilities.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle priorities.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts including weekdays and weekends.
