Job Title: Accountant
Job Type: Full-Time, 30 to 40 hours per week

Wage:  $35 - $38 per hour

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage and oversee our financial operations, particularly in international trade. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in financial transactions, maintain compliance with accounting standards, and support strategic decision-making through insightful financial analysis.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and record financial transactions related to international trade, including freight charges, customs fees, and insurance costs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
2. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, maintaining accurate financial records for all trading activities.
3. Prepare comprehensive financial statements, budgets, and analytical reports to support strategic business decisions.
4. Monitor trade-related costs to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
5. Design and implement accounting systems tailored to the company's international operations, ensuring they meet organizational needs and regulatory requirements.
6. Calculate profits from trade activities and ensure accurate financial reporting to stakeholders.
7. Manage company funds across multiple countries, including maintaining and reconciling international bank accounts to ensure financial integrity.
8. Develop and maintain cost-finding, reporting, and internal control procedures to enhance operational efficiency and financial accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the international trade sector.
• Experience in financial management for shipping or freight operations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
