Salary: $22.50 hourly / 40 hours per Week
Number of vacancies: 2
Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes, ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation meet restaurant standards at all times.
- Ensure food safety by following proper hygiene practices, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to health department regulations.
- Set up cooking stations with necessary tools, ingredients, and equipment for efficient food preparation during service hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of food items, placing orders and ensuring stock rotation to minimize waste and spoilage.
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting dishes, seasonal ingredients, and ensuring meals cater to dietary preferences and needs.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate preparation and delivery of meals during busy service periods.
- Handle and store food properly, ensuring all ingredients are prepared, stored, and cooked to maintain freshness and quality.
- Prepare sauces, soups, and garnishes from scratch, maintaining consistency and flavor profiles to enhance the menu's appeal.
- Ensure proper portion control by measuring ingredients accurately and following recipe specifications for consistent servings.
- Maintain a clean workspace by following sanitation guidelines and regularly cleaning kitchen tools, equipment, and surfaces.
Eligibility Requirements:
- A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
- Previous cooking experience of 7 months to less than 1 year in a fast-paced kitchen environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and ability to maintain cleanliness and adhere to health department regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure during peak hours, ensuring quality food preparation and timely meal delivery.
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment, including stoves, ovens, and fryers.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management.
- Ability to follow recipes and adjust preparation techniques as needed to ensure high-quality, consistent dishes.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work quickly.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, to support the restaurant’s operational requirements.
- Managing multiple cooking stations or orders simultaneously without compromising the quality of food.
- Willingness to continually learn new techniques, ingredients, and culinary trends.
