Duties:

R.S.D. Framing & Forming Ltd is currently in need of full- time (2) Framers. The qualified candidate should be able to perform the following duties:

• Read blueprints or other specifications to determine methods of installation, work procedures, or material or tool requirements.
• Cut metal framing and trim to size, using cutting tools.
•  Install horizontal and vertical metal studs to frames so that wallboard can be attached to interior walls.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other material.
•  Remove existing plaster, drywall, or paneling, using crowbars and hammers.
• Trim rough edges from wallboard to maintain even joints, using knives.
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures.
• Perform all other duties as required.

Wages:

$ 30.30/hr for 35 hours a week

Skills Requirement:

• Completion of Secondary School.
• Completion of 2-4 years apprenticeship program or A combination of over four years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in carpentry is usually required to be eligible for trade certification.
• Trade certification in carpentry would be an asset but not mandatory.
