Job Responsibilities

  • Offer clients customized insurance policies that align with their specific needs, including travel, property, business, and other types of insurance.
  • Promote repeat business with existing clients while seeking out new clients through strategic networking.
  • Calculate premiums, refunds, commissions, adjustments, and new reserve requirements, adhering to company insurance rate standards.
  • Recommend appropriate insurance solutions that cater to clients' individual needs and budgets.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service, ensuring prompt client concerns resolution.
  • Handle clients' claims inquiries and assist them with any insurance-related issues they might encounter.
  • Process insurance applications, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain accurate policy information and documentation in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate smooth policy servicing. This includes handling policy renewals and ensuring all necessary forms are completed.
  • Prepare regular sales reports to provide insights into sales performance and identify potential growth opportunities.
  • Stay current with industry trends and changes in insurance regulations through continuous professional development. Attend training sessions and team meetings to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Maintain a high standard of service by providing clients with accurate and up-to-date information at all times.

 

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • A valid insurance license by the insurance governing body in Canada.
  • Prior experience as an insurance advisor, broker, or in a similar role would be an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in mathematics and the ability to accurately calculate premiums, refunds, commissions, and adjustments.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development through attendance at training sessions, team meetings, and other learning opportunities.
