Job description


Valemount Vacation Inn is one of the largest hotels in Valemount, BC. With 71 fully renovated rooms, our hotel stands ready to meet the needs of modern business and leisure travelers.

We are looking for 1-2 hotel front desk clerks to join our team.

 

Job Requirements:

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: No experience required, we will train

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail

Personal suitability: Dependability, Efficient interpersonal skills, Excellent oral communication, Judgement, Organized, Reliability, Team player

 

Job Duties:

  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms,
  • Resolve complaints and claims,
  • Process group arrivals and departures,
  • Take, cancel, and change room reservations,
  • Provide information on hotel facilities and services,
  • Process guests’ departures, calculate charges, and receive payments,
  • Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments,
  • Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages,
  • Provide customer service

 

Terms of employment: Seasonal position

Salary: $18.50/hour

Benefits: Relocation costs covered by the employer

Work Hours: 30 hours per week
