We are a vibrant family-owned Canadian restaurant, serving up a wide variety of delicious foods including pizza, burgers, donairs, shawarma, Texas fried chicken, and more. Our restaurant offers dine-in, pickup, and delivery, with a play area available for family bookings. We are passionate about providing great food and service, and we are looking to expand our team with enthusiastic and dedicated Sous Chef.

Position Title: Sous Chef

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Estimated Starting Date: As Soon As Possible

Position available: 1

Wage: $35.50 ~ $36.00 per hour (Depending on working Experience)

Work Hours: 30 hours per week

Benefit: 4 % Vacation Pay or 10 Business Days of Paid Vacation

Responsibility:

• Supervise activities of cooks and other kitchen workers
• Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff
• Prepare and cook complete meals or specialty foods, such as pastries, sauces, soups, salads, vegetables and meat, poultry and fish dishes, and create decorative food displays
• Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
• Create new recipes
• Plan menus and requisition food and kitchen supplies
• Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods.
• Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff

Qualification:

• Completion of secondary school is usually required;
• Cook's trade certification or equivalent credentials, training and experience are required.
• Sous-chefs usually require several years of experience in commercial food preparation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a great team player;
• Working knowledge of English.
