Education

  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma of Diesel Mechanic or Related mechanical field. 
  • or high school with more than 2 years of experience with diesel engines. 

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years

Job Duties: 

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair truck systems, including engine, transmission, brake, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements on fleet vehicles.
  • Test and adjust vehicle components to ensure proper functionality, such as steering mechanisms, lights, and other essential systems.
  • Use diagnostic equipment to identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in trucks.
  • Repair or replace malfunctioning parts, including clutches, differentials, fuel systems, and exhaust systems.
  • Conduct safety inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and inspections performed on each vehicle.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and extend the lifespan of fleet vehicles.
  • Collaborate with the transportation team to prioritize repair schedules and minimize vehicle downtime.
  • Stay updated on new vehicle technologies and repair methods to ensure efficient servicing of modern trucks.

 Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
