Location: Mississauga, ON L4Y 2A1
Salary: $56.00 per hour for 30 hours per week
Number of vacancies: 1
Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities:
- Allocate material, human and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs
- Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions
- Co-ordinate the work of regions, divisions or departments
- Provide strategic direction for the engineering team, aligning technology initiatives with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities to leverage new tools and systems to enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of software solutions for fleet management, route optimization, vehicle tracking, and other critical areas of the business.
- Collaborate closely with other departments, including operations, sales, and finance, to understand business requirements and ensure that technology solutions meet the needs of various stakeholders.
- Develop and manage the engineering department budget, allocating resources effectively to support strategic initiatives and meet project deadlines.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience preferred in software engineering and technology leadership roles, with a focus on the trucking or logistics industry.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex technology projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve high performance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and drive continuous improvement.
