Joy Farm Market is a local store located in the heart of uptown New Westminster. We carry a variety of fresh organic produce, as well as a good selection of essential products, at an affordable price. Joy Farm Market is proudly locally owned, and we are currently looking for a Head Dispatcher to join our team, who is able to help us to ensure an excellent shopping experience for customers.

Work Location: 927 8th Avenue, New Westminster, BC V3M 2R4

Position Title: Head Dispatcher

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Estimated Starting Date: As soon as possible

Position Available: 1

Wage: $31.35 to $32.35 per hour (Depending on Working Experience)

Work Hours: 30 hours per week

Benefit: 4 % Vacation Pay or 10 Business Days of Paid Vacation

Job Duties:

• Overview, arrange, organize, assign and evaluate the tasks performed by delivery staff including shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and managing inventories.
• Train staff in duties and ensure to comply policies.
• Ensure that policies, safety procedures, security standards, and regulations are followed, and actively contribute to improving them.
• Resolve issues and associated complaints, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity , service and product quality.
• Order and restack required materials, equipment and supplies to ensure smooth dispatch.
• Ensure the efficient functioning of logistics systems, equipment, and machinery, arranging for maintenance and repair when needed.

Qualification:

• Completion of secondary school is usually required;
• Several years (at least 2-3) of experience as a supervisor in relevant fields;
• Excellent organizational skills and prioritization skills;
• Multi-tasking skills in a high-pressure environment.
