We are currently looking for a Furniture Assembler, who is meticulous and skilled for assembling components of office furniture to join our company.

 

Job Title: Furniture Assembler

Wage: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour (Depending on Working Experience)

Working Hours: 30 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Starting Date of Employment: As Soon As Possible

Position Available: 1

Benefit: 10 business days of paid vacation or 4% vacation pay

Working Location: 1100 – 11180 River Road, Richmond, B.C. V6X 1Z5

 

Job Duties:

  • Read and interpret assembly instructions and prepare necessary materials and tools;
  • Prepare and measure wood material or wood grain melamine etc., and ensure the surfaces are smooth, using hand and power tools, and are ready for assembly;
  • Assemble office furniture and fixture components, such as desks, chairs, cabinets, and shelves, using hand and power tools to meet the quality standards;
  • Combine materials like wood, metal, plastic, and others to construct various home office furniture products by following each detailed instructions;
  • Strengthen assembled home office furniture with dowels, brackets, or additional supports to ensure stability and durability meet the standards;
  • Clean and organize workspace, incl. proper storage of tools, materials, and finished furniture products;
  • Install hardware components such as hinges, drawer slides, locks, and handles to ensure proper usability and functionality of home office furniture products;
  • May inspect and verify accuracy of assembled home office furniture for conformance to specified quality standards.

 

Qualification:

  • Completion of secondary school is usually required;
  • On-the-job training is provided;
  • Previous working experience as a furniture or fixtures assemblers in the same industry is preferred but not mandatory;
  • Working knowledge of English;
  • Ability to be detail oriented and problem-solving skills.
