Ryder Auto is looking for an experienced mechanic to assist in their operations. We are looking for a team member who is committed to great client service and others.

Rate: $28.00/hour

Location: On-site/ 730 Warden Ave Scarborough, ON M1L 4A1

Duties:

• Collaborate with a supervisor to validate diagnostic results, determining the necessity for repairs or replacements of units based on thorough assessments.
• Engage in detailed discussions with the supervisor regarding the scope and approach of necessary work, ensuring clarity and alignment of objectives.
• Conduct rigorous inspections and tests on mechanical units to accurately identify any faults and malfunctions that may compromise vehicle performance.
• Examine motor operations in detail to detect any discrepancies or issues that might affect efficiency and safety.
• Review and analyze work orders meticulously to prepare effectively for the tasks at hand, ensuring all requirements are clearly understood and met.
• Perform road tests on motor vehicles to evaluate repair effectiveness and overall operational performance post-maintenance.
• Test various automotive systems and components to ensure they meet the required standards and specifications for safe and efficient operation.
• Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components in automotive systems, enhancing vehicle reliability and performance.
• Address and resolve issues with mechanical units or components, ensuring they function correctly and meet all operational guidelines.
• Calculate estimated costs for parts and labor required to maintain and repair vehicles, providing transparent and accurate financial information to customers.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance services to prevent future issues and extend the lifespan of vehicles through proactive upkeep.
• Test and adjust various units to ensure they operate within specified parameters, maintaining high standards of vehicle performance.
• Provide customers with comprehensive advice on the work performed and offer guidance on future repair requirements to aid in their decision-making.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing queries and concerns with professionalism and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

 Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience as a mechanic
• Must have a licensed service technician trade certificate.
• Experience with engine repair, brake systems, all-wheel drive, automatic transmission, standard transmission.
