Responsibilities
Tasks
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
 
- Estimate food requirements, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
 
- Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc).
 
- Making adjustment to accommodate clients with specific diet and health concerns.
 
- Set up the workstation with all the necessary ingredients and cooking equipment.
 
- Oversee kitchen operations and inspect the kitchen and food service areas.
 
- Ensure the great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
 
- Train kitchen staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
 
- Monitoring and managing cooking tools and ingredients.
 
- Plan menus and determine the size of food portions.
 
- Set up, clean, and organize kitchen and work area.
 
- Inspect Kitchens and food service areas.
 
- Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers.
 
- Set up and oversee buffets.
