Responsibilities

Tasks

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
• Estimate food requirements, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc).
• Making adjustment to accommodate clients with specific diet and health concerns.
• Set up the workstation with all the necessary ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Oversee kitchen operations and inspect the kitchen and food service areas.
• Ensure the great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
• Train kitchen staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
• Monitoring and managing cooking tools and ingredients.
• Plan menus and determine the size of food portions.
• Set up, clean, and organize kitchen and work area.
• Inspect Kitchens and food service areas.
• Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers.
• Set up and oversee buffets.
